Every
Cives facility is equipped with the most modern, computer-controlled
equipment, keeping us efficient and cost effective. Data
required for shop fabrication is downloaded directly from our
Detailing System to our shop equipment, allowing us to ship more
error-free steel than ever before. Our QA/QC requirements and
procedures provide further assurance that Cives' quality is the
BEST in the industry. We continue to invest in new plants and
plant equipment that keeps us "younger" and in the forefront
of the industry.
Proper
surface preparation and coating application is critical, and each
facility is equipped with modern blast cleaning machines
and enclosed atmospherically-controlled painting areas.
Decades of experience in the application of multi-coat paint systems
further assure a quality coatings system and your project delivered
on time.
All of Cives facilities meet or exceed
the standards established by AISC Quality Certification
Program for Complex Building Structures, and all carry
the Sophisticated Paint Endorsement.
Unless
the size or schedule of a project requires a multi-plant effort,
each Cives fabricating facility operates autonomously with the
necessary staff and organization to handle all aspects of a project.
This not only provides the flexibility necessary for each facility
to serve the individual needs of it's customers, but also ensures
the highest level of motivation among personnel. From experienced
Shop Personnel to Drafting to Project Management, each Cives facility
has a singular focus - deliver the steel ON TIME.
When
a request for proposal arrives at a facility, it immediately goes
to the Estimating Department for review. Our experienced estimators
undertake a completed take-off of every piece of steel and provide
a comprehensive proposal and offer value engineering, if appropriate.
Once a project is awarded, a Project Manager is assigned responsibility
for the project. A Cives Project Manager is responsible for all
aspects of the project and for ease of communication as the single
source of information for the Customer. Our Project Managers and
Project Management System are the BEST in the industry. Ask anyone
in the industry - from our Customers to our subcontractors. They'll
all agree. Cives' Project Managers are what differentiate
us from our competition.
Detailing
is done at one of our two In-House Detailing Companies.
However, to facilitate and expedite drawing changes, each fabricating
facility has it's own Drafting Department. All utilize the same
detailing system (SDS2), which ensures a quality and consistent
product to our Customers. Cives has over 80 Detailers
and over 70 Engineering Personnel at our Detailing Companies
and fabricating facilities.
