The
success of every project depends on experienced Project Management.
Structural Steel and Ductwork are highly engineered products,
not stock items you buy off the shelf. Close attention must be
paid to details and the changing needs of each and every job.
Cives has the best Project Managers
and Project Management System in the industry. This is what differentiates
us from our competition. Cives' Project Managers are highly capable
individuals with years of experience in Structural Steel and Construction
projects. They are your single source of contact
and are responsible for every aspect of the job. Their goal is
total Customer Satisfaction i.e., the highest
quality steel delivered ON-TIME. With today's
fast track projects and extensive changes that invariably occur
on complex projects, it is essential that the Project Manager
have the skill and experience to incorporate the changes with
minimum disruption to the project.
The
Critical Path of every project goes through the structural steel
fabricator.
Our Project Managers welcome that
responsibility and take it seriously, because we know that if
the steel is late your entire project is at risk.
Each customer's project is the most important one to them and
we treat it that way. At Cives, we don't just process a Purchase
Order - we MANAGE your Structural Steel and Ductwork
requirements.
How do we ensure the success
of your Structural Steel and Ductwork requirements?
1. Our Project Managers have the
necessary training and experience to understand your project
requirements. They are also high level individuals within Cives
and have the responsibility and authority to make decisions;
no management layers to delay necessary actions. They are your
single source of contact ensuring clear communication.
2. Cives provides the necessary
ORGANIZATION to allow them to make your project a success. All
support functions from Estimating to Production to Engineering
are done by Cives people, providing our Project Managers and
Project Engineers flexibility and control.
3. The process of timely shop and
erection drawing submittal and approval are essential to keeping
a project on schedule. At Cives, we have over 80 detailers on
staff at our two In-House Detailing Companies
and fabrication facilities, and provide shop drawings for most
of our projects. Our In-House Detailing companies provide a
consistent product to you and provides our Project Team total
control over issuing and directing document flow.
4. Cives provides the plant capacity
and capabilities to handle your Project requirements. With six
fabricating plants and over 100,000 ton annual output, our plants
provide the necessary horsepower to our Project Managers to
overcome project changes and last minute shifts in construction
priorities. In addition, each Cives facility has its own ambient-controlled
Paint Bays, insuring surface preparation and coatings done properly
and ON-TIME.
5. Experienced Project Managers
use a proven Project Management System. We have developed proprietary,
internal software which integrates Document Control, our Quality
Control Inspection Program, Production, and Shipping. Information
is updated daily, providing the Project Manager with current
data and accurate reports, allowing him to take the necessary
actions to make your project a success. A project's status is
also monitored during fabrication. Again, during the execution
of the project our internal software provides the necessary
information to know the status of every piece of steel ,whether
it's in the receiving/shipping yards or in the shop being fabricated
or inspected. Control of fabrication by shop order, block, and
piece mark is available for monitoring the progress of the fabrication.
Cives sequences the project into
delivery "blocks." This control allows delivery to
the jobsite of only the material needed by the erector at one
time, as defined on the erection drawings. The Block List is
available for loading in the shop, as well as for the erector
in the field, to define which pieces are to be delivered. We
also can track material not yet shipped, by block, to verify
what material is not yet on a truck for delivery, and its status.
Once the steel arrives at the jobsite,
Cives will provide, when required, a Cives field coordinator to
monitor the erection process and make critical jobsite decisions.
Information, Capability, Control
and Experience, and the ability to utilize them effectively, are
the reasons our Project Managers, and Project Management System,
are the best in the Industry. The result is a well managed structural
steel product, fabricated properly and delivered ON-TIME.
