Job Summary:

In this Press Brake operator role, you’ll be responsible for efficiently cutting material according to customer specifications. A mindset of continuous improvement and outside the box thinking is important, as we constantly try to better ourselves in every aspect of what we do. Best of all, we are a fully employee-owned company where we work together as a team to build a successful and profitable business.

What You'll Do As A Press Brake Operator

Responsibilities

  • Feed raw material into the machine and organize completed product
  • Clean machines and area regularly
  • Weekly machine PM
  • Read work orders to reach production goals
  • Set up machinery for use
  • Forklift operation
  • Forklift inspection
  • Continuous improvement
  • Measure material before and after cutting to ensure compliance with customer specifications
  • Make any adjustments that are necessary to comply with customer requirements
  • Make minor repairs to ensure the machine is running
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required; we are a Team, and we support each other.

Qualifications

  • A proven ability to be a respected, trusted, and reliable professional
  • Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • A demonstrated ability to collaborate up, down, and sideways
  • Training and expertise working with steel in manufacturing setting
  • Ability to read blueprints/CAD drawings
  • 8+ years of experience, preferably with bending steel in the manufacturing or truck equipment industries
  • HS diploma or GED is required
  • Excellent work history – at your jobs for more than 2 years
  • Preferred consideration for candidates with skilled trades certification

Schedule:

  • 1st shift: Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
  • 2nd shift: Monday – Thursday 4:30 pm – 3:00 am
  • Additional hours during the week may be required.
