CNC Inputter/Programmer

We are seeking a CNC Inputter/Programmer Trainee to join our North‑West Division in Idaho Falls, Idaho. This role provides a strong foundation for a long‑term career within an established, employee‑owned organization committed to professional growth and advancement.

Job Description

No prior experience is required; a full training program will be provided. Ideal candidates are highly motivated, dependable, and possess good mathematical skills. The position requires the ability to read and interpret structural drawings and to manage multiple project files on a daily basis.

Primary Responsibilities

• Interpret fabrication drawings (blueprints)
• Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy
• Utilize computer‑generated files to prepare CNC machine programs
• Program detailed components for structural steel members

Compensation is based on experience.  There is a 90‑day probationary period for all new hires. Desirable candidates for the DRAFTING OFFICE MANAGER position will have a minimum 2-year drafting degree and/or 2+ years’ experience in a management or lead role.  Must have extensive knowledge in construction plan reading and be familiar with AutoCAD; knowledge in SDS2 & Tekla is a plus.

Responsibilities will include:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations for Structural Steel Drawing Coordination, CNC Inputting and Document Control.
• Working with Project Managers to maintain company drawing standards on all projects.
• Working closely with Department Managers, including the Shop Superintendent and Shop Supervisors to keep project schedules.
• Must be capable of managing multiple tasks across multiple employees, working well under pressure, and assisting shop personnel with drawing or CNC programming issues.
