We specialize in customizing snow and ice removal equipment for heavy municipal, county, and state trucks by installing a variety of specialized equipment such as salt, tailgate, and v-box spreaders. In 2020, a national partner, Viking-Cives, purchased LINDCO and business continues to grow rapidly, and we need more help!

Job Summary:
As an Installation Technician and Mechanic, you will install industrial snow and ice equipment onto bare chassis and build a variety of custom snow plow trucks for government municipalities. You may also perform repairs. A mindset of continuous improvement and outside the box thinking is important, as we constantly try to better ourselves in every aspect of what we do. Best of all, we are a fully employee-owned company where we work together as a team to build a successful and profitable business.
What You'll Do As A Large Truck Installation Technician/Mechanic
Responsibilities:
- Install custom hydraulic equipment systems (Rexith, Muncie, certified power) on chassis
- Install Pneumatics, Electronics, Fabricated and other purchased components
- Assemble manufactured products such as dump bodies conduct daily forklift inspections
- Route hydraulic lines
- Install custom 12-volt electric systems
- Other duties and responsibilities as required; we are a Team, and we support each other.
Qualifications:
- Reliable, plus eager to learn and grow your career!
- Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Training and expertise in welding, wiring, hydraulics, and electrical components
- Ability to read blueprints/CAD drawings
- 4+ years of hands-on experience, preferably with heavy-duty commercial truck equipment and accessories
- HS diploma or GED is preferred
- Preferred consideration for candidates with skilled trades certification
- Ability to pass a knowledge assessment
- A demonstrated ability to adapt well to change
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Additional hours during the week may be required.
