As part of the Engineering team, you will find yourself designing product to meet the dynamic needs of the marketplace while focusing on the manufacturability of the product. We accomplish this through constant communication with our sales team and our direct involvement with production. Our product line involves varying degrees of complication with the integration of mechanical components, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.  All systems are designed to work harmoniously with one another to produce the most comprehensive snow and ice equipment in North America. What We Are Looking for:

Skills/Qualifications/Education/Experience:

Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Engineering Technologist/Technician with

  • 2-5 years’ experience is not required but an asset within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong 3D modeling and computer skills (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical, Microsoft Office, Infor Syteline ERP, Adobe)
  • Product design and development
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Motivated team member who works well with others
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Project management and dealing with complexity
  • Presenting technical information
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational skills

What You'll Do As A Mechanical Engineer/Technologist – Edmonton

Daily Tasks:

  • Design and develops new products as well as ongoing updates of existing components and product lines, which integrate with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Manage customer projects
  • Work with installation staff regularly for support and feedback
  • Initiate design ideas, develops concepts and manufacturing methods.
  • Uses Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling software to create detailed accurate models and designs.
  • Analyze 3D models using Finite Element Analysis.
  • Create detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of material.
  • Develop product designs by studying product requirements; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Assure product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering information by answering production questions and requests.
  • Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
