New York State DOT Anti-Ice SRX Polar Tank Trailers Retrofitted
New York State DOT Anti-ice SRX 6,000 Gallon Polar Tank Trailers are undergoing retrofitting at Viking Cives in Harrisville, NY. They are being transformed into modern, efficient winter maintenance vehicles. Technicians strip down the existing tankers, integrate advanced brine application systems, and install precision spray controls designed for improved roadway coverage. Stainless steel cabinets, upgraded pumps, and corrosion-resistant plumbing ensure durability through harsh winter conditions. The retrofit includes enhanced lighting, safety features, and calibration technology that enables operators to apply anti-icing materials with greater accuracy. Viking Cives’ specialized fabrication and engineering expertise help extend the truck’s service life while boosting the DOT’s ability to keep roads safer and clearer during winter storms.
