Buffalo Bills Stadium Topping Out Ceremony
On Friday, April 4, Cives Steel Company NOD reached the most significant milestone yet on the Buffalo Bills Stadium project by celebrating the official Topping Out of the job. As expected, the event was a spectacle, with attendees including Commissioner of the NFL Roger Goodell, Governor of New York State Kathy Hochul, and owner of the Buffalo Bills Terry Pegula. The beam chosen for signature sits above some of the 300 level seating and will be visible once the stadium opens. Our project team was able to enjoy a beautiful day at the event what was also a well-publicized occasion for Western New York. After the ceremony, the Gilbane/Turner team held a site lunch, and later hosted a reception in the evening at a local brewery to which Cives and our partner erectors, Stonebridge Inc and Seneca Steel were invited. G/T provided commemorative shirts, and NOD provided custom steel football trophies. This was a memorable moment on a massive project!
