We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of steel fabrication and erection for commercial projects. Cives Steel uses industry leading software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office products, Peddinghaus Raptor, SDS/2, and Tekla. Due to the unique nature of our work, on-the-job training will be provided to the Candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and other documents to accurately estimate the quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for each project.
  • Determine the cost of steel fabrication and erection using current market prices and established rates for labor and equipment.
  • Prepare detailed estimates, including material takeoffs, pricing, and labor and equipment costs.
  • Work with the project management team to develop project budgets and schedules.
  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability information for materials and services.
  • Prepare and submit bids in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in bid review meetings with Upper Management to finalize bid.
